Custodial and Grounds Maintenance – Edwardsburg and Howard Branches

Job Summary:

The Custodial and Grounds Maintenance position encompasses two critical functions in support of the Library’s mission, namely delivery of materials to branch libraries and maintaining safe and clean facilities and vehicles. Applicants must possess a pleasant and congenial manner when working with staff and patrons. The successful candidate must be proactive and a self-starter with the ability to both work independently and take direction.

The ideal candidate will have great customer service experience skills, as well as an appreciation for the role that public libraries play in people’s lives. This position involves a continuous succession of standing, carrying, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, squatting, bending, and tolerating sometimes-caustic odors. Weight lifted and carried: 1-70lbs. The Cass District Library (CDL) is looking for team members who enjoy staying active and learning new things.
